A lot of us probably know when we’ve had too much to drink and can probably draw the line as to when to stop, but there are times when we’re having too much fun to the point where we might pass out from drinking too much, or worse, drink too much to the point where we get alcohol poisoning.

However, thanks to the work of scientists in Canada, they have developed a somewhat simplistic-looking device that will help us sober up quickly by exhaling the alcohol content in our body. Toxins, such as alcohol, are typically broken down by our liver, but our liver works at a constant rate meaning that there’s really no way to speed up this process.

However, our lungs also play a role in helping break down alcohol by exhaling small amounts of it whenever we breathe out. Usually this

Pfizer may soon have a vaccine—but challenges lie ahead

Pfizer and BioNTech put out a press release this week announcing that its Covid-19 vaccine is more than 90 percent effective for participants who were definitely Covid-free before the trial started then developed symptomatic cases. So far, there have been no serious safety concerns. The first of its kind, this vaccine is made up of mRNA that helps the body make proteins that train the immune system to recognize SARS-CoV-2. Pfizer will likely have the safety data it needs to apply for FDA approval by the end of the month. If it’s greenlit, it will be the first mRNA vaccine cleared for

  • Hasan Minhaj joins The Morning Show following Netflix’s cancellation of Patriot Act

Hasan Minhaj, formerly the host of the now-canceled Netflix talk show Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj, will have a major recurring role in the second season of Apple TV Plus hit The Morning Show, Deadline reports. “He will play Eric, a charismatic, rising star who joins The Morning Show team,” according to Deadline.

Minhaj’s role follows Netflix’s August cancellation of his comedy / news talk show, which aired for two years and six seasons, and I highly recommend you read Joshua Rivera’s article about why Patriot Act stood out among a crowded field of late-night news comedy shows. Minhaj’s show wasn’t the first talk show that Netflix has canceled, so I also recommend that you read Julia Alexander’s piece about why the streaming service can’t figure out how to make talk shows work.

In appearing on The Morning Show, Minhaj will be joining a

  • Apple’s AirTags Accessory Will Have Enhanced Privacy Features

Bluetooth tracking accessories are useful if you’re someone who easily misplaces small items like keys, or if you want to make sure you don’t leave your bag behind at work, at home, or in school. However, due to their small and inconspicuous nature, there is a potential for abuse, where someone could easily slip a Bluetooth tracker into your bag and follow you home.

To address this potential problem with Apple’s upcoming rumored AirTags accessory, it seems that Apple is baking in some features and warnings. This was initially discovered in the iOS 14.3 beta by MacRumors’ Steve Moser, where a string reads, “If you feel your safety is at risk due to this item, contact your local law enforcement. You may need the serial number of this item.”
