• Japanese Company Unveils iPhone 12 Magnetic Wireless Charger Ahead Of Launch

According to a leak from last month, it was suggested that Apple could be looking to introduce a new wireless charging accessory for the iPhone. However, it will not necessarily come in the form of the AirPower charging mat we saw before. Instead, it will be a circular device that attaches to the iPhone magnetically on the back.

Whether or not that is true remains to be seen, but thanks to a report from Macotakara, it appears that they have spotted a listing by Japanese accessory maker MPOW who has unveiled their own magnetic wireless charging accessory for the “new iPhone”. Given that the current iPhone does not support this type of charging, this accessory could clue us in as to what we might be able to expect from Apple.

This type of magnetic charging technology isn’t new and Apple has actually been using it with the Apple

  • A macaque is touring around Singapore’s Marina Bay and his photos are stunning

Many people have been staying at home, trying to limit their time outside as much as possible as we combat the coronavirus.

But it seems like one Singapore resident is taking advantage of the peace and quiet to take a tour around the island city-state.

A lone male macaque was spotted on October 2, 2020, chilling at Marina Bay and enjoying the sights without the usual crowd of tourists.

Sabrina K. Nguyen told Mothership that she thought the animal was a squirrel at first, but soon realized it was undeniably a primate.

The macaque also had plenty of photo ops thanks to Nguyen and can I just say, this monkey poses better than I do.

If it had an Instagram page, I might probably follow it to be honest.

  • Don’t Expect Fortnite Back In The App Store Until 2021 At The Earliest

As many of you have heard, Apple and Epic are in an epic (pun intended) legal battle over Fortnite Battle Royale. Epic had filed for a preliminary injunction against Apple’s removal of the app in the App Store, but it looks like Judge Yvonne Gonzales Rogers has denied their request for it.

What this means is that if you were hoping to see Fortnite return to the App Store, you might have to wait until 2021 at the earliest. This is because a court date for the trial is set for May 2021, and assuming things don’t get dragged out further, 2021 is the earliest that we will see Fortnite return to the App Store, if at all.

It is possible that Apple and Epic could reach some kind of agreement from now until then, but that remains to be seen. However, Epic’s lawsuit against Apple has opened a can

  • Apple Could Be Reviving The MagSafe Brand, But Not In The Way We Hope

Ever since Apple introduced USB-C to their MacBook laptops, they pretty much ditched the MagSafe chargers, much to the dismay of many a MacBook owner. However, it appears that the company could be looking to bring back the MagSafe branding, but unfortunately it might not be in the way many are hoping for.

According to a series of posts made on Weibo by user “Kang”, apparently Apple will be reusing the MagSafe branding for several iPhone related accessories. This is said to include an iPhone case that comes with a magnet built into the case itself, as well as a couple of new wireless chargers that will apparently be known as the MagSafe Charger and the MagSafe Duo Charger.

There have been rumors that Apple could revive their wireless charging mat, but it’s interesting that they might actually ditch the AirPower branding in favor of MagSafe. The use of magnets
