The coronavirus pandemic has taught us that we can do a lot of things at home, provided we have the willpower.
After all, when you’re staying safe from the coronavirus and quarantining yourself from other humans, you’ve gotta find things to do to occupy your time.
And apparently possessed and evil dolls face the same dilemmas.
Remember Annabelle? Of course you do. She’s the epitome of nightmare fuel.
With the coronavirus delaying movie productions, she’s got nothing to do in quarantine.
So how has she been coping in isolation at the New Line Cinema offices?
Honestly, Annabelle is all of us in quarantine, if we had the whole Warner Bros. studio lot at our disposal that is.
But in the grand scheme of things, her time under quarantine has been so-so, much like the rest of us really.
So what has she been up to then?
In the first 4 days, Annabelle was just her scary self. Sitting idly on a chair, staring into space.
But by Day 5, she’s had enough of that. It’s time to relive the glory days of The Conjuring with a nice bag of popcorn.
After a full week in quarantine, it’s time to soak up the sun and satiate those champagne cravings.
And after over a month in quarantine, we all know what it’s like to let go of self-control.
More than two months into quarantine, and things are looking bleak for Annabelle.
You know you’re sick and tired of quarantine when you’re laying on a couch in a dimly lit room with disco lights spinning around. Also, you’re just sick and tired.
The short film was made by a few New Line Cinema employees who returned to the office to collect some equipment.
It became quite popular internally at Warner Bros.
Then it got featured in the company newsletter.
And now the public has been graced with it thanks to the Warner Bros. Productions YouTube page.
According to Deadline, a seventh film in the Conjuring universe is set to premiere next year.
It’s called The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, slated to hit the silver screen on June 4, 2021.
So perhaps if you’re rewatching the previous films and start to get scared, just remember Annabelle in a cozy pink blanket, sharing candy with Hello Kitty.
