If you’re anything like the majority of Internet users, you’ve probably been spending a lot of time playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons on your Nintendo Switch.
With everyone stuck at home because of the coronavirus pandemic, sales of both the game and the console have skyrocketed to an all-time high.
I totally understand why though. With the lockdowns and the movement control orders worldwide, we’re all itching for a little outdoor action.
And if you’re itching to do yoga by the beach or dance all night on a dance floor, I have good news for you.
Sentosa Development Corporation has re-opened their island on Animal Crossing.
“Through our virtual offerings, we would like to encourage everyone to make time for an “island getaway” during these challenging times, as a break is important for one’s mental wellbeing,” Lynette Ang, chief marketing officer of Sentosa Development Corporation, said.
And indeed, Sentosa Crossing is offering a series of free online leisure activities across their social media platforms from “Sentosa Beats Party” featuring a series of curated DJ beats to “Sentosa Cocktail Club” that’ll teach you how to recreate signature Sentosa cocktails.
Here are just some of the recreations of the resort on Animal Crossing developed by Sentosa’s team.
The virtual vacation resort is currently open for play during three sessions: 10am to 12pm, 2pm to 4pm, and 6pm to 8pm. All times are in SGT.
Each session is limited to four visitors and you’ll get to explore and enjoy the island for 30 minutes each.
Here’s how you can get to Sentosa Crossing.
Step 1: Register on Sentosa’s website here for a chance to visit Sentosa Crossing.
Step 2: Answer their question of the week correctly and receive an email confirmation for your slot.
Step 3: You’ll receive a Dodo code 15 minutes before your slot begins.
Step 4: On the day itself, visit your island’s airport, key in the Dodo code, and voila! You’ll be transported to the island of Sentosa Crossing.
